Cecilia Fryklof was appointed head of active ownership for Nordea Asset Management, the firm said Monday in a news release.
Based in Stockholm, Ms. Fryklof replaced Katarina Hammar, who joined Swedish asset manager Lannebo Fonder in Stockholm after leaving Nordea in September.
Ms. Fryklof was already a member of Nordea Group's sustainability team, where she served as business area lead within asset and wealth management, working on sustainability strategy and ESG regulation of Nordea Life and Pensions, the release said.
Nordea Asset Management manages more than €273 billion ($268 billion) globally. It established its responsible investment team in 2009.
The active ownership group with the team has seven members. In 2021, it conducted 1,033 engagements with companies, the release said. Those engagements focused on climate, human rights, biodiversity/water and good governance.
