David G. Eichhorn was named CEO of NISA Investment Advisors, effective Jan. 1, according to a regulatory filing with the SEC.
He will succeed Jess Yawitz. The move is part of a “multiyear transition of responsibilities to the current senior management team,” the firm said in a Form ADV. Mr. Eichhorn, currently president of the firm, succeeded Mr. Yawitz as chairman of NISA’s investment committee in June.
Mr. Yawitz, a co-founder of the firm who will continue as chairman and member of the investment committee, sold his equity interest in NISA to senior management in 2018. William J. Marshall, the other co-founder and then-president of NISA Investment Advisors, retired in 2018.
Mr. Eichhorn and Mr. Yawitz could not be immediately reached for further information on the succession.
NISA Investment Advisors provides liability-driven investing and derisking strategies for pension plans and has $246 billion in assets under management. The AUM figure does not include $168 billion of notional value of derivatives managed by NISA.
