Laura Curtis was named head of global product and marketing, and Britta Hion was appointed as head of North American distribution at Newton Investment Management.
Both are new positions, according to a news release Oct. 14.
Curtis, who previously was chief marketing officer for Europe at Vanguard Asset Management, will be based in London and report to CEO Euan Munro.
A Newton spokesperson said Curtis left Vanguard in 2022 and since has worked as executive adviser and/or fractional chief marketing officer at various financial services, wealth technology and financial technology firms.
Hion will be based in New York and will report to Tjeerd Voskamp, global head of distribution.
Hion most recently was head of North America distribution at Barings. Earlier this month, Barings named Ilena Coyle head of North American insurance and intermediary, and Graham Seagraves head of North American institutional and consultant relations, to replace Hion.
Newton, a unit of BNY Investment Management, has $107.8 billion in assets under management, according to the firm’s website. BNY Investment has $2.14 trillion in AUM.
