Natixis Investment Managers hired Rushil Khanna as head of equity investments for Asia.
He is based in Singapore and reports to Dora Seow, who was appointed Singapore CEO in November.
As head of equity investments, Mr. Khanna manages the equity investment strategy on behalf of Natixis affiliate Ostrum Asset Management in the Southeast Asia-Pacific region, a statement said. He manages an existing team of portfolio managers and will work to grow the Ostrum brand in the region.
A Natixis spokeswoman did not immediately respond to queries about who he replaces and how many portfolio managers he oversees.
Ostrum had €389 billion ($416.2 billion) in assets under management as of Jan. 1.
Mr. Khanna was head of equities for Asia-Pacific and a senior portfolio manager at Credit Suisse Asset Management. He joined the firm in 2004 and has held roles in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.
A Credit Suisse Asset Management spokeswoman said that Hong Kong-based Lily Chang was appointed head of Asia equities as his replacement in December.
