Ouaile El Fetouhi joined Natixis Investment Managers as head of portfolio engineering and analytics for its solutions business.
The role is new.
Mr. El Fetouhi leads and manages a team of analysts and engineers to continue the development of the firm's modeling and analytics capabilities, a news release said. He also leads research group colleagues, producing analysis for various investment processes for the firm. He reports to James Hughes, global head of the solutions business.
"His strong quantitative background and in-depth experience developing and applying state of the art portfolio construction and risk management solutions will prove vital as we continue to meet the needs of our client base," Mr. Hughes said in the release.
Natixis IM has €906 billion ($1.07 trillion) in assets under management. A spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. El Fetouhi was head of multiasset solutions modeling at Aberdeen Standard Investments. Shezad Lakha replaced Mr. El Fetouhi, a spokesman said. He joined from wealth manager and robo-adviser Tiller Investments.
