Shinji Inoue was named president and representative director of Natixis Investment Managers' Japan business.
Mr. Inoue succeeds Kinji Kato, who served as president and representative director for the past eight years. Mr. Kato will become honorary chairman of Natixis IM Japan, working with Mr. Inoue on strategic initiatives and partnerships with large institutions, according to a Natixis news release.
Mr. Inoue was executive vice president and head of Pacific Investment Management Co.'s global wealth management channel in Japan. A PIMCO spokeswoman said Minoru Matsuzawa, executive vice president, has assumed the role of acting head of the global wealth management channel in Japan.
