Rob Marshall was named head of stewardship and sustainability at M&G Prudential, a spokeswoman said.
The role is new. Mr. Marshall leads a team of 13 professionals and expands the firm's environmental, social and governance capabilities across all asset classes.
"Our new stewardship and sustainability team will play a central role in ensuring ESG is at the heart of how we invest as a leading global asset manager and asset owner," Jack Daniels, CIO, said in a news release.
In addition to the new role, Mr. Marshall continues to serve as global head of credit and equity research.
M&G Prudential had £339 billion ($417.7 billion) in assets under management and administration as of June 30.
