Sara Queen was named managing director and head of real estate equity at MetLife Investment Management, a spokesman confirmed Monday in an email.
Effective March 15, she replaces Mark Wilsmann, who will retire at the end of the month.
Ms. Queen will oversee MetLife Investment Management’s real estate equity portfolio, which comprises $32.7 billion in institutional assets. She will report to Robert Merck, senior managing director and global head of MetLife Investment Management’s real estate and agriculture business.
Ms. Queen was head of the North America business at Mapletree Investments. A representatives from Mapletree could not be immediately reached for additional information.
MetLife Investment Management had $106.7 billion in commercial real estate assets and $659.6 billion in total AUM as of Dec. 31.
