Stephanie Hill, managing director at Mellon Investments, was named head of index, a Mellon spokeswoman said.
Ms. Hill, who reports to Stephanie Pierce, CEO of ETF, index and cash investment strategies, was previously head of index business and strategy.
In that role, Ms. Hill acted as co-head of index alongside Karen Wong, head of index portfolio management, who is leaving the firm at the end of the year, the spokeswoman said.
Further information on Ms. Wong's plans was not available.
As of July 31, Mellon Investments' index business had over $345 billion in assets under management.
