Duncan Hodnett will join Maple-Brown Abbott, a Sydney-based manager of equity, listed infrastructure and multiasset strategies, as head of global distribution.
The position is new. Effective March 30, Mr. Hodnett will oversee the firm's business development, client service and marketing and product strategies globally and across all client segments. He will report to CEO Sophia Rahmani, said a news release Thursday.
Mr. Hodnett was a director of institutional sales at Pinnacle Investment Management, where he focused on Australia and the U.S. His responsibilities will be absorbed by other members of the institutional distribution team, a Pinnacle spokesman said.
Maple-Brown Abbott had A$12.8 billion ($8.3 billion) in assets under management as of Feb. 29, the release said.
