Peter Mennie was named global head of environmental, social and governance research and integration at Manulife Investment Management, effective immediately.
Mr. Mennie replaced Emily Chew. Details of Ms. Chew's departure or her next appointment could not be learned.
Mr.Mennie also retains his responsibilities as global head of investment risk management, said a spokesman. He will be supported by Amirali Assef, who was named deputy head of investment risk. Mr. Assef was previously managing director, investment risk. Further details on his position were not available, including whether the role is new.
Mr. Mennie will report to Christopher Conkey, global head of public markets.
Manulife Investment Management had C$879 billion ($672.6 billion) in assets under management and administration as of Dec. 31.
