Philip Fielding and Valentina Chen were named co-heads of emerging markets debt with MacKay Shields' global credit team.
Based in London, they are new positions, a spokeswoman said. They will report to Eric Gold, senior portfolio manager and head of global credit.
They were previously co-heads of emerging markets debt and portfolio managers at BMO Global Asset Management, according to that firm's website.
Parent company Bank of Montreal completed the sale of BMO Global Asset Management's EMEA business to Ameriprise Financial on Nov. 8. That business is now a part of Columbia Threadneedle Investments, Ameriprise's global asset management business.
BMO spokeswoman Colleen Hamilton could not be immediately reached for further information.
As of Sept. 30, MacKay Shields had $164 billion in assets under management.
