Florence Barjou was named CIO of Lyxor Asset Management effective Oct. 5, a spokeswoman said.
Ms. Barjou, who is currently deputy CIO, will replace Guillaume Lasserre, who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities, the spokeswoman added.
Ms. Barjou will report to Lionel Paquin, CEO of Lyxor. She will also join Lyxor's executive committee.
"For the past 15 years, Florence has been one of the outstanding talents of Lyxor's portfolio management teams. In her successive roles, she has contributed to the expansion of our active management and strategic allocation franchises. As CIO, Florence will show complete dedication to serving our clients at a time when experience, rigor and conviction are invaluable assets," Mr. Paquin said in a news release.
The spokeswoman wasn't immediately able to provide information about a replacement.
Lyxor has €145.5 billion ($171.7 billion) in assets under management and specializes in exchange traded-funds and smart beta strategies.
