Colleen Denzler was named vice president and head of ESG at Loomis Sayles & Co., spokeswoman Kate Sheehan said in an email.
Ms. Denzler replaces Kathleen M. Bochman, who left the firm in September and joined Fidelity Investments as managing director of ESG research.
Based in Boston, Ms. Denzler will report to David Waldman, chief investment officer. Mr. Waldman has served as interim head of ESG while the firm conducted a search for Ms. Bochman's replacement.
According to a news release Tuesday from Loomis Sayles, Ms. Denzler most recently led ESG integration efforts at Smith Capital Investors. Officials there could not be immediately reached for further information.
As of March 31, Loomis Sayles had $335.9 billion in assets under management.
