Maurice Leger, executive vice president, was named director of institutional services at Loomis Sayles & Co.
He replaces John F. Gallagher III, also an executive vice president, who will retire in March next year, a news release from the company said Tuesday.
The firm will immediately begin transitioning Mr. Gallagher's duties to Mr. Leger, the release said.
Mr. Leger was director of product management and the firm's strategic planning group and will retain the latter position, confirmed Orla O'Brien, a company spokeswoman, in an email.
Gene Morrison replaced Mr. Leger as director of product management. Ms. O'Brien said Loomis Sayles will replace Mr. Morrison in his former role as head of the firm's relative return team.
Christopher T. Perkin was appointed managing director of North American business development, a newly created position, Ms. O'Brien said. He will retain his prior role as head of Loomis Sayles' institutional strategic relationship team, which manages the firm's global subadvisory business.
Loomis Sayles managed $310.9 billion as of June 30.
