Jayson Bronchetti was named chief investment officer, and Chris Neczypor was named chief strategy officer at Lincoln Financial Group, effective Tuesday.
Mr. Bronchetti and Mr. Neczypor will report to Ellen Cooper, who will be the company's new president and CEO following the annual shareholders meeting in May, Lincoln said in a news release.
In August, Lincoln said Ms. Cooper will succeed Dennis R. Glass as president and CEO and that Mr. Glass will become Lincoln's chairman. William H. Cunningham, Lincoln's current board chairman, will become the board's lead independent director.
Mr. Bronchetti succeeds Ms. Cooper as CIO, while Mr. Neczypor's title is a new position, Lincoln said in the news release.
Messrs. Bronchetti and Neczypor will both join Lincoln's senior management committee after Ms. Cooper takes over as CEO.
"Jayson has a successful track record as an industry investment leader including experience in building and managing diversified portfolios, broad asset class and portfolio construction expertise, effective credit risk management through cycles and setting business-focused, risk-aware investment strategies," Ms. Cooper said in the release.
Ms. Cooper also said Mr. Neczypor will "draw on his broad experience at Lincoln as an investor across asset classes and his business-focused portfolio management expertise."
Mr. Bronchetti most recently was Lincoln's head of corporate fixed income. Mr. Neczypor's most recent title was senior vice president, head of investment risk and strategy.
Holly Fair, a Lincoln spokeswoman, said in an email that "we are currently working through the transition" regarding possible replacements for Messrs. Bronchetti and Neczypor.
