Robert Wall is joining Lazard Asset Management as a managing director and head of a new sustainable private infrastructure strategy, the firm said Monday.
Mr. Wall most recently was a partner at Federated Hermes and a member of its private markets infrastructure investment committee. Before that he was a founding member of the infrastructure investments team at the C$497.2 billion ($394.2 billion) Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Toronto. He will be based in London and report to Lazard Asset Management CEO Ashish Bhutani.
Mr. Wall will build a team to manage a sustainable investment strategy focused on private infrastructure companies, beginning with a portfolio manager and an analyst. The strategy is expected to be made available to clients globally, Lazard Asset Management said in a news release. The subsidiary of Lazard Ltd. manages $277 billion.
Mr. Bhutani said in the release that Mr. Wall "has extensive experience in investing capital across all sub-sectors of the infrastructure asset class to deliver strong returns."
