Ada Zhang has joined the $205.2 billion Lazard Asset Management as head of sales for China, a spokesperson confirmed.
Zhang moved to Hong Kong from Singapore for the role and started in the position in September. She now leads the firm's business development strategy for China, the spokesperson said.
The Hong Kong office is led by Shen Tan, managing director and head of distribution for Lazard Asset Management Asia ex-Japan, to whom she reports.
The role is newly created and she works closely with Ken Fan, senior advisor for China, and the rest of the Asia ex-Japan distribution team.
Zhang was most recently a managing director in institutional sales at Capital Group, which managed $2.7 trillion in assets as of June 30. She is succeeded by Stella Xu who in August took up the role of head of institutional business for Greater China based in Hong Kong.
