Stephen Usher was named head of distribution at Lafayette Square, a company spokesman confirmed in an email. The position is new.
Mr. Usher will oversee the firm's business development and capital formation activities and will report to Damien Dwin, founder and CEO of Lafayette Square.
Mr. Usher was a partner at Standard General where he led business development efforts within the firm. Soo Kim, managing partner and chief investment officer of Standard General, confirmed Mr. Usher’s departure and said he has not been replaced.
Lafayette Square is a minority-owned impact-driven investment management firm. It offers a range of strategies, including private credit, housing and investing in diverse investment managers.
