Kevin Crain, a retired Bank of America senior executive, was named executive director of the Institutional Retirement Income Council, the nonprofit think tank announced in a news release on May 20.
Crain succeeds Michelle Richter-Gordon, who is stepping down to devote more time to Axonic Insurance, a firm founded in 2024.
Crain retired from Bank of America in August 2023 after 20 years of service in senior leadership positions, including head of retirement research. Prior to Bank of America, he held various positions with Chase Manhattan, Bankers Trust, Fidelity Investments and other financial services firms.
Richter-Gordon will remain with IRIC through June to help with the transition. She has served as IRIC executive director since September 2021.
