Money manager Jupiter created new roles in a refresh of the structure of its multimanager team, a spokeswoman said.
David Lewis was named co-head of strategy for the Jupiter independent funds team, a new role alongside John Chatfeild-Roberts. Mr. Chatfeild-Roberts was the sole head of the team, the spokeswoman said.
Mr. Lewis was a fund manager in the team and retains those responsibilities.
Messrs. Chatfeild-Roberts and Lewis work together to oversee investment decisions for the team — also known as the Jupiter Merlin team — which runs £6.8 billion ($9.4 billion) in assets.
Algy Smith-Maxwell was named research director, independent funds, a newly created role. He was a fund manager in the team but took a step back from day-to-day management, the spokeswoman said.
Mr. Smith-Maxwell focuses on developing the team's research capability, overseeing analysis of asset classes, management teams and potential areas for investment.
Amanda Sillars was named ESG director, independent funds — also a newly created role. She leads the team's ESG research and engagement and retains her responsibilities as a fund manager.
"We are pleased to be in a position to make these changes, refreshing the team structure and promoting internal talent, while retaining the unique character that has defined the team over the years," Stephen Pearson, CIO at Jupiter, said in a news release.
Jupiter runs a total £58.8 billion in assets.
