Richard Buxton, one of the managers of the £614 million ($764 million) U.K. Alpha Fund and the £41 million U.K. Alpha Fund (IRL), will retire from Jupiter Asset Management at the end of the summer, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The funds will be continue to be run by their other current managers, Ed Meier and Errol Francis.
The investment process and strategy will remain consistent, said a news release Friday.
"Richard is one of the most respected investors of his generation, and it has been a pleasure working with him since I joined Jupiter," CEO Matthew Beesley said in the news release. "We are rightly recognized as having a leading U.K. equity franchise and Richard is leaving the U.K. Alpha team in robust shape and in very good hands."
Jupiter had £50.8 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
