Anne Lester, managing director, senior portfolio manager and head of retirement solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, New York, will retire from the firm July 31, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.
Ms. Lester, who has been at the firm 28 years, will continue as a portfolio manager on the multiasset strategies she co-manages until April 30, according to a prospectus posted Tuesday on the SEC's website.
She is a portfolio manager on the JPMorgan SmartRetirement Funds, SmartRetirement Blend Funds, and the SmartSpending 2050 fund, the regulatory filing said.
JPMAM will not add a new portfolio manager following Ms. Lester's departure, the spokeswoman said in an email.
"Thanks to our team-based approach to portfolio management and succession planning, we are fortunate to have Dan Oldroyd already in place as head of the SmartRetirement and SmartSpending investment teams. Dan will continue to apply a consistent philosophy based on his 15 years working with Anne and his five years as a senior portfolio manager on the funds," the spokeswoman wrote.
The spokeswoman declined to comment on whether JPMAM would appoint a new head of retirement solutions or someone to serve in the role in the interim.
