Sherene Ban was named head of Singapore and Southeast Asia at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Ms. Ban replaces Steven Billiet. Mr. Billiet left JPMAM in late February; he could not immediately be reached for comment.
Ms. Ban currently is London-based head of JPMAM's global beta investment specialist team. Her responsibilities will be taken on by Robert Stewart, global head of the investment specialist team in JPMAM's multiasset solutions business.
Until Ms. Ban relocates to Singapore, Andrew Creber, JPMAM's chief administrative officer for South Asia-Pacific and South Korea, will "oversee regulated responsibilities in Singapore," the spokeswoman said.
