Nick Kim joined J.P. Morgan Asset Management in Hong Kong as an exchange-traded fund specialist.
The position, a new one, marks a continued build out of the firm's Asia beta strategies team over the past year.
Mr. Kim comes to J.P. Morgan Asset Management from Mirae Asset Global Investment, where he served as global ETF sales VP, according to a J.P. Morgan Asset Management news release.
A Mirae spokesman couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
The news release said Mr. Kim will be responsible for strengthening ETF client relationships, bringing the firm's more than 30 ETFs listed in the U.S. and more than 20 listed in Europe to Asian investors on a cross-border basis, while working on long-term product development initiatives as well.
Mr. Kim will report to Sean Cunningham, the firm's head of Asia ETFs.
