Jared B. Gross was named managing director and head of institutional portfolio strategy at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
It is a new position. Mr. Gross, who is based in New York, will report to Keith Cahill, head of North America institutional, spokesman Sam Wallman said in an email.
Mr. Gross was previously executive vice president in the consultant services group at Pacific Investment Management Co. His responsibilities have been absorbed by other group members, a PIMCO spokeswoman said.
As of March 31, J.P. Morgan Asset Management had $1.9 trillion under management.
