Gregory Trinks joined Janus Henderson Investors as head of U.S. product, effective May 31.
Mr. Trinks helps execute the "firmwide strategy to protect and grow our investment capabilities, to amplify our strengths by ensuring our product set is best aligned to meet the needs of our clients," said a news release Monday.
This role has existed in a similar capacity in the past, and the firm is now re-establishing it, a Janus Henderson spokesman woman said in an email.
Mr. Trinks will be based in New York and report directly to William Lucken, global head of product, the spokeswoman added.
Mr. Trinks was head of the portfolio advisory group at UBS Wealth Management. A spokesman for UBS declined to comment on Mr. Trinks' departure.
As of March 31, Janus Henderson had about $311 billion in assets under management.
