Janus Henderson Group's assets under management reached $359.8 billion as of June 30, up 1% from March 31 and but down 2.8% from a year ago. The company attributed the quarterly uptick to positive markets partially offset by outflows.
In the company's earnings release issued Wednesday, the money manager recorded net outflows of $9.8 billion during the second quarter, compared to $7.4 billion in outflows in the first quarter and $2.7 billion in outflows the second quarter of 2018.
By asset class, equities AUM rose 4.2% for the quarter to $190.5 billion and slipped 0.3% over the year ended June 30.
Fixed-income AUM decreased 1.8% for the three months and dropped 7.9% for the 12 months ended March 31, to $72 billion.
Quantitative equity assets increased 0.2% for the quarter but fell 3.2% for the year to $48.4 billion.
Multiasset strategy AUM totaled $34.2 billion as of June 30, up 6.5% from March 31 and up 7.2% from June 30, 2018.
