Vivien Blossier was named head of European secondary investments at Intermediate Capital Group, a spokesman said Monday.
The role is new. Mr. Blossier is responsible for building out the firm’s private equity fund investments in Europe.
He will work with Oliver Gardey, head of private equity funds investments.
“Vivien is a great addition to our strengthening global team. We continue to see great potential and significant opportunities to extend our exposure to the private equity market,” Mr. Gardey said in a news release.
“Vivien’s appointment enables us to take advantage of the opportunities we see ahead in the fast growing private equity space.”
Mr. Blossier previously was vice president and investment manager at Unigestion, where he was responsible for sourcing, execution and portfolio monitoring of European secondary private equity investments, a position he had held since 2016.
Paul Newsome, head of investment solutions for private equity at Unigestion said, “We are indeed replacing Vivien,” adding that the firm is in the process of bolstering its European and the U.S. direct and secondary businesses.
