John Trydahl has been named director-business development and strategy at fixed-income manager Income Research & Management.
It is a new position, a spokesman said in an email.
Mr. Trydahl will focus on furthering the company's "institutional business development objectives in North America," said a news release Wednesday.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Trydahl reports to Susan Brengle, head of client relationships and business development.
Mr. Trydahl was formerly at Loomis, Sayles & Co., where he served as a vice president within the institutional services group. Loomis Sayles is "actively searching for a replacement" for Mr. Trydahl, a spokeswoman said in an email.
IR&M has $92 billion in assets under management.
