Philippe Uzan was named deputy CEO and CIO for money management at iM Global Partner, a spokesman said.
The role is new; Mr. Uzan joined earlier this month.
Based in Paris, Mr. Uzan manages the firm's Luxembourg open-end fund range, which has €2 billion ($2.2 billion) in assets under management, and is responsible for the selection and monitoring of strategies for sub-delegation.
"After having shared several joint professional projects, I am particularly happy to welcome Philippe in our team. His in-depth knowledge of asset management will be key to the development of our distribution platform," Philippe Couvrecelle, founder and CEO of iM Global Partner, said in a news release.
Mr. Uzan was CIO at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management and was member of the firm's executive committee.The firm's spokesman could not be reached and details on his replacement wre not available.
As of Jan. 31, iM Global Partner managed $14.7 billion in assets.
