Armit Bhambra joined IFM Investors as head of client solutions EMEA, effective Tuesday, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The position is new, and Mr. Bhambra is based in London.
He leads the firm's client solutions business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, reporting to John Gee-Grant, head of global client solutions. Mr. Bhambra works alongside the global team and focuses on partnerships with EMEA-based clients and the firm's strategy in the region. IFM Investors had $11 billion in U.K. and European assets under management as of March 31.
"Armit will play a key role in offering tailored solutions that address the needs of our EMEA-based clients, and he shares IFM's commitment to delivering for our clients and their beneficiaries — I know he will be a valuable addition to our team," Mr. Gee-Grant said in a news release.
Australian super fund-owned IFM invests across infrastructure, debt investments, public equity and private equity, and had a total £117 billion ($144.5 billion) in assets under management as of March 31.
Mr. Bhambra was head of BlackRock's U.K. corporate pensions business. A spokesman confirmed his departure and said Andrew Reid and Henry Odogwu had taken on expanded roles, as head of U.K. DB relationship management and head of the U.K. DB sales team, respectively.
