Andrew Liau was named co-head of the infrastructure team at alternative money manager H.I.G. Capital.
Based in London, Mr. Liau will have the primary day-to-day responsibility for the infrastructure team in Europe, according to a news release Wednesday. Managing Director Ed Pallesen, also a co-head based in New York, will continue to oversee infrastructure opportunities in the Americas.
Mr. Liau was previously a senior managing director in the infrastructure group at Ardian; Ardian officials could not be immediately reached for further information.
H.I.G. Capital has $40 billion in equity capital under management.
