Glenn Clarke was named head of Asia-Pacific for London-based Hayfin Capital Management.
Mr. Clarke is relocating this week to Hayfin's newly opened Singapore office — the firm's first in the Asia-Pacific region — from London, a spokesman said. The role is new.
He will retain the client-facing responsibilities of his previous role in London as a managing director and institutional portfolio manager.
A Hayfin news release said the Singapore office will allow the firm to "better serve Hayfin's substantial investor base in the Asia-Pacific region."
The spokesman could not immediately say how much of the firm's roughly €17 billion ($20.3 billion) in assets under management comes from clients based in the region.
"We … will be scaling our team to better cover our investor relationships and assess possible investment opportunities," Mr. Clarke said in the release.
Mr. Clarke was not immediately available for further comment.
