Alexander Wolfman was named managing director and global head of business development at Hayfin Capital Management, a company spokesman confirmed.
He replaces Jim Karp, head of business development, who will now lead the firm's capital markets activities.
Mr. Wolfman will be responsible for overseeing the firm's investor relations and fundraising activities. He will report to CEO Tim Flynn and Chief Operating Officer Mark Tognolini.
Mr. Wolfman was a senior managing director at Avenue Capital Group. He was replaced by Meghan Danaher and Marc Zwebner, both of whom are senior managing directors and co-heads of business development, a company spokesman confirmed in an email.
Hayfin Capital Management has roughly €17 billion ($20.1 billion) in assets.
