Bryony Tomlinson was named managing director, head of European capital markets for Harbert Management Corp.
Based in London, Ms. Tomlinson will lead Harbert's "outreach in the European marketplace to provide solutions for existing investors as well as develop new limited partner relationships," a Thursday release said.
Ms. Tomlinson's role is new and she will report to Lee Purcell, global head of capital markets, a spokeswoman said.
Based in Birmingham, Ala., Harbert is an alternative asset manager with about $8 billion in regulatory assets under management as of July 31.
Ms. Tomlinson was managing director with Lazard in private capital advisory. Lazard could not be immediately reached for further details.
