Delphine Arrighi was named head of emerging market debt for Guardian Capital LP, the firm said Tuesday.
Ms. Arrighi started in the new position August 16 and will be based in London with subsidiary GuardCap Asset Management Ltd. She reports to Steve Bates, CIO for GuardCap Asset Management Ltd., and Aubrey Basdeo, head of Canadian fixed income for Guardian.
Spokesman Adam Amato said in an email that her role will help expand the firm's fixed-income capabilities globally, and that she is now building a team for that, with at least two hires. The firm will launch an Ireland-based mutual fund later this year.
Previously, Ms. Arrighi served as head of emerging market debt for Merian Global Investors in London, which was acquired by Jupiter Fund Management in 2020. She has also worked at Columbia Threadneedle Investments and Standard Chartered Bank.
In May, Jupiter promoted Reza Karim to fund manager for emerging market debt.
As of June 30, Toronto-based Guardian had C$51.6 billion ($41.7 billion) in assets under management and C$29.9 billion under administration.
