Claire Felgate joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s client solutions group as head of international, global consultant relations.
Felgate was also named as a managing director and is based in London, according to an internal memo from Lauren Oakes and Patrick O’Donnell, global co-heads of consultant relations.
The role is new, according to a person familiar with the firm.
“Claire is regarded as a best-in-class collaborator, business-builder, and salesperson, who we are thrilled to bring on board,” the memo said.
GSAM had $2.81 trillion in assets under supervision as of Dec. 31.
Felgate was head of consultant relations for the U.K., Middle East and Africa at BlackRock. Andreas Froehlich, who was head of consultant relations for Continental Europe and alternatives, has become head of consultant relations for EMEA, a spokesperson said.
