Greg Wilson has been named the first head of retirement at Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management, the firm announced on Jan. 10.
Wilson will steer the AWM division's strategy across retirement distribution, defined contribution and the firm's Ayco Workplace Advisory Solutions, according to a memo written by Marc Nachmann, global head of Asset & Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs.
In addition to his new responsibilities, Wilson will stay on as head of Workplace Advisory Solutions at Goldman Sachs Ayco and will continue to work closely with Larry Restieri, head of Goldman Sachs Ayco. Wilson will report to Matt Gibson, co-head of the Client Solutions Group at Goldman Sachs.
According to Nachmann's memo, Wilson's expanded role comes as the firm expands its focus on the growing defined contribution and IRA market.
"We are seeing increasing demand from participants and the organizations that support them for personalized solutions, tailored strategies and engaging digital experiences," Nachmann wrote in the memo. "Greg will lead our efforts to engage with clients on this broad suite of retirement offerings and continue to position the firm to be a differentiated partner in this space."
Wilson joined Goldman Sachs in 1995. He became a managing director in 2010 and was named partner in 2022.
