Nicholas A. Warren has been named chief investment officer of the endowment and foundation business of Glenmede Trust Co.
Mr. Warren, who will be based in Philadelphia, succeeds Stephen C. Lehman, who is retiring after more than 20 years, a news release said Tuesday.
In his new role, Mr. Warren will be responsible for "driving investment policy and strategy for more than $11 billion in assets under management," the news release said.
Mr. Warren will report jointly to Adam M. Conish, managing director and director of endowment and foundation management; and Peter J. Zuleba III, managing director and director of investments for Glenmede Trust.
Mr. Warren was chief investment officer for Boston-based Brandeis University's $1.4 billion endowment. Tarek Saghir is now serving as interim CIO of the Brandeis endowment, Brandeis spokeswoman Julie Jette said an email.
"Nick's background and experience in public, private and alternative investments will complement and enhance our current investment process and philosophy," Mr. Conish said in the release.
Glenmede's endowment and foundation management unit is "the OCIO division within Glenmede Trust that supports nonprofits, institutions and foundations through innovative investment and advisory solutions," a spokesman for Glenmede Trust said in an email.
