Terence Bong joined GAM Investments as head of the firm's newly opened office in Singapore.
Mr. Bong will oversee business development and client relationships in Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian region, according to a GAM news release.
Singapore becomes GAM's fourth office in the Asia-Pacific region, joining Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney.
Mr. Bong was Franklin Templeton's head of wholesale for Southeast Asia. He left the company on Sept. 30 and his role — newly named head of retail — was filled by Clement Lee, a spokeswoman for the firm said.
