Dean Heaney joined Franklin Templeton Investments as head of U.K. institutional, effective Monday, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Mr. Heaney replaced Jennifer Ockwell, who left in July, the spokeswoman said.
Based in London, Mr. Heaney is responsible for developing the strategy for the firm's institutional clients in the U.K. and leads sales and marketing activities, and works closely with the global consultant relations team. He reports to Martyn Gilbey, U.K. country head.
The firm has about $11 billion in assets under management across both retail and institutional U.K. clients. Franklin Templeton has more than $599 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Heaney was head of government and strategic institutions for the U.K. and Ireland at Invesco. A spokeswoman confirmed his departure and said a recruitment process for a replacement is underway.
