Franklin Templeton shuffled several positions among the leadership of its Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions and Franklin Templeton Income Investors units on Oct. 1, including the promotion of Adam Petryk to the newly created position of head of Franklin Templeton Solutions.
Mr. Petryk retained his duties as head of solutions strategy and development within the solutions unit, confirmed a company spokeswoman.
In his new role, Mr. Petryk will focus on overall strategy and growth for the solutions business as well as client engagement globally and across investor channels to understand client needs, according to a statement from Franklin provided to Pensions & Investments on Thursday.
Wylie Tollette, previously the head of client investment solutions within Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions, was promoted to chief investment officer within the same unit that managed $39 billion as of Oct. 31.
Mr. Tollette was replaced internally by Nick Hooten, whose prior role was regional head of client solutions Americas within Franklin's solutions group.
Mr. Tollette replaced Edward D. Perks as CIO within the solutions business.
Mr. Perks assumed the newly created position as CIO of Franklin Income Investors, which managed $79 billion as of Oct. 31.
Franklin Resources' assets under management as of Oct. 31 totaled $1.32 trillion, the company's monthly asset report showed.
