David Allen joined First Sentier Investors on Monday as global head of investment management.
He replaces Perry Clausen, the firm's chief investment officer. Mr. Clausen will retire from the CIO role in early 2022, according to a First Sentier news release.
Mr. Clausen couldn't be reached for comment.
Mr. Allen comes to First Sentier from AMP Capital in London, where he served most recently as global CIO, equities.
An AMP spokesman couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. Allen will move to Sydney by the first quarter of 2022. In his new role, he will lead "First Sentier's investment teams, excluding FSSA Investment Managers and Stewart Investors, and he will contribute to the development and execution of the firm's corporate strategy," the news release said.
First Sentier Investors had $178.6 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30, including $37.2 billion managed by FSSA and $24.8 billion managed by Stewart Investors.
