Jane Daniel has been appointed chief risk officer at First Sentier Investors, effective Jan. 1.
Based in London, Ms. Daniel will report to CEO Mark Steinberg, said a news release Thursday.
Ms. Daniel will add value to "our business in raising and maintaining the global standard of risk management and compliance," Mr. Steinberg said in the news release.
Spokesman Richard Chimberg said in an email that "the chief risk officer role has been split from the chief legal and risk officer position."
Mr. Chimberg added that "Lisa Warburton currently leads the company's legal functions and has been appointed general counsel in an acting capacity. Liz Hastilow previously held the role of chief legal and risk officer for First Sentier Investors."
Ms. Daniel was global chief risk and compliance officer at Aegon Asset Management. John O’Donnell replaced Ms. Daniel as chief risk and compliance officer at Aegon Asset on an interim basis, an Aegon spokesman said in an email. Mr. O’Donnell is currently global head of enterprise risk, the spokesman added.
First Sentier Investors has more than $134 billion in assets under management.
