Jean-Philippe Lemay was promoted to global president and chief operating officer of Canadian money manager Fiera Capital.
Mr. Lemay assumes the roles from Vincent Duhamel who was appointed vice chairman of the firm's board of directors, spokeswoman Mariem Elsayed said in an email.
With the promotion, he now oversees Fiera's Canadian, U.S. and European divisions.
Mr. Lemay was president and COO of Fiera's Canadian divisions, roles he will continue to hold until his successor is named, Ms. Elsayed said.
"Mr. Lemay has grown and evolved within our organization since 2012. He has demonstrated superior leadership capabilities and knowledge of the investment management industry having successfully led the Canadian division since 2017. This makes him perfectly suited to oversee our operations worldwide, said Jean-Guy Dejardins, Fiera's chairman and CEO, in a news release.
Fiera Capital managed C$169.7 billion (U.S. $129.9 billion) as of Dec. 31 for institutional, retail and wealth management clients.
