Miyuki Kashima has joined Fidelity International in Tokyo as head of investments, Japan.
Ms. Kashima replaces Takashi Maruyama, Fidelity's head of equities, Japan, while taking on expanded oversight of other asset classes as well, a spokeswoman for the company said.
Mr. Murayama, meanwhile, is taking on a new role as senior adviser, supporting the overall development of Fidelity's Japan business, according to a news release.
Ms. Kashima was previously head of Japanese equity investments at BNY Mellon Investment Management.
Masafumi Oshiden, deputy head of Japanese equity investments at BNY Mellon, and a lead portfolio manager on a number of the firm's strategies, has assumed the role of head of the Japan equity investment management division, a BNY Mellon spokeswoman said.
