Pierre-Emmanuel Brard was appointed to the newly created role of head of insurance solutions for Asia-Pacific at Fidelity International, the firm said in a statement on Jan. 17.
Brard continues to be based in Singapore and is tasked with driving business growth and partnerships with insurers for the London-headquartered investment management firm. He also works closely with distribution heads to develop and implement strategies to support insurance clients' investment needs.
He reports to Ghislain Perisse, global head of insurance solutions.
"The insurance segment continues to present many significant growth opportunities for Fidelity International … Our focus remains on building a substantial and specialized business to support our insurance clients and meet our ambitious growth plans," said Rajeev Mittal, managing director for Asia-Pacific ex-Japan, in the statement.
Fidelity International invested $514.1 billion on behalf of clients as of Sept. 30.
Brard was a senior member of the asset allocation and investment solutions team at Hong Kong-headquartered insurer AIA Group. Spokespeople did not immediately respond to a query about his replacement.
