Jenn-Hui Tan was appointed global head of stewardship and sustainable investing for Fidelity International.
The Singapore-based position, covering global markets outside of the U.S., is a new one at Fidelity International, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Mr. Tan previously served as Fidelity International's head of capital markets and corporate governance for Asia-Pacific. He will retain his capital markets responsibilities, even as "some of his day-to-day activities will be transitioned to his team" over the coming months, the spokeswoman said.
In his new role, Mr. Tan will be responsible for setting the firm's strategy and policies on engagement, voting and ESG integration.
He will report to Paras Anand, Fidelity's head of asset management in the Asia-Pacific.
