Jim Roland was named head of distribution for Asia-Pacific at Federated Hermes and will relocate to Singapore from London for the role, according to a statement on Thursday.
Mr. Roland replaces Jakob Nilsson who took up a new role within the firm as head of private market sales, ex-North America, while based in London after 14 years in Singapore.
Mr. Roland oversees sales and distribution efforts across Asia-Pacific. There is no date set for Mr. Roland's relocation yet, but the role has already been made effective, a spokesman said. He reports to Paul Uhlman, president of Federated Securities Corp., who oversees global distribution.
Mr. Roland joined the firm in 2021 and was most recently the head of international client group. He will continue in this role for the time being, the spokesman said.
"We have accomplished a phased growth plan for expansion across Asia Pacific over the last five years, shown by our recent office openings in Australia and Japan and a significant increase in AUM. Looking ahead, Jim and his team will be focusing efforts on aligning our product offerings to the needs of clients across Asia Pacific," Mr. Ulhman said in the statement.
Federated Hermes has $701 billion in assets under management.
